A specially formulated chemical solution is applied to the skin after your skin type and sensitivity level is determined. After a few days, the topmost layer of the skin will dry up and peel off gradually thus removing the damaged skin cells. The skin below will smoother with less wrinkles.

The chemical solution is applied in small doses to your face.
The solution may cause a burning sensation to start with for a couple of minutes, but this then subsides and gives you a stinging sensation. Your doctor may use cold compresses to make the sensations more comfortable.
After the procedure you will experience a result very similar to a sunburn. The skin begins to peel after by the third day.
It is important to avoid sunlight to protect the new skin from damage. Ensure you use a broad-spectrum sunblock cream that will cut out both UVA and UVB rays. Also avoid the sunlight during the hottest part of the day and wear a hat for further protection.
